Oasis Wellness Centers Certification Program Policy Addendum
Effective Date: 01/01/2025
Applies to: All current and future students enrolled in Oasis Wellness Centers Certification Programs
(e.g., Herbology Prep 101, Trauma Recovery Coaching, PPMA Certification, etc.)
Purpose
At Oasis Wellness Centers, we are committed to preparing professionals who serve with integrity, empathy, and excellence. Our certification programs are designed not only to educate but to shape ethical, trauma-informed leaders. This policy addendum clarifies the behavioral, financial, and ethical standards required for certification eligibility.
1. Integrity & Character Requirement
Certification through any Oasis program requires more than academic completion. Students must consistently demonstrate:
- Honesty in communication
- Responsibility in following through on commitments
- Respect for instructors, peers, and program timelines
- Ethical behavior that reflects trauma-informed, community-centered values
We reserve the right to deny certification to individuals who fail to uphold these principles throughout the duration of the program.
2. Financial Responsibility Clause
Students are expected to pay program fees in full or maintain approved payment arrangements. Delinquent accounts exceeding 60 days without communication or effort toward resolution may result in:
- Temporary or permanent suspension from the program
- Loss of access to course materials and community groups
- Ineligibility for certification until the account is brought current
Repeated financial negligence or dishonesty regarding payment agreements may disqualify a student from certification altogether.
3. Commitment to Recovery Values
As trauma-informed practitioners, we must model the core recovery values we aim to pass on:
- Accountability
- Self-regulation
- Compassionate leadership
- Emotional maturity
- Transparency and humility
Students are expected to practice these values within the learning environment, peer discussions, coaching demonstrations, and community service assignments.
4. Certification Eligibility Clause
Completion of coursework does not automatically grant certification. The Oasis Wellness Centers team reserves the right to withhold certification from any participant who:
- Fails to meet character and conduct expectations
- Violates trauma-informed ethics
- Leaves financial obligations unresolved
- Demonstrates behavior misaligned with the Oasis mission
5. Reinstatement and Appeals Clause
If a student is removed from the certification track due to conduct, integrity, or financial issues, they may request consideration for reinstatement. The following process must be followed:
Written Request: Submit a written statement explaining the circumstances, what has changed, and why reinstatement is requested.
Review Process: A member of the program leadership team will review the request within 10 business days.
Corrective Plan: If approved, a reinstatement plan may be issued, which can include financial repayment, personal accountability measures, or mentoring/coaching requirements.
Final Decision: Reinstatement is not guaranteed. All decisions by the program leadership team are final and must be respected.
Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of removal notice. After that time, students may be required to reapply as a new student, subject to current tuition and policies.
Acknowledgment
Enrollment in any certification program at Oasis Wellness Centers signifies full agreement with this policy. Students are expected to uphold these standards in both personal and professional practice. Certification may be withheld or revoked if these standards are not met.
